What is required for VoIP?
VoIP uses the internet to communicate with the server, so an internet connection is required. We recommend having at least 1.5 Mbps down, and .768 Mbps up, to avoid quality loss.
My phone won’t connect make or receive calls. Now what?
Sometimes your Internet Router, or Modem can lock up, interfering with your internet connection. When this happens sometimes your phone equipment can get locked up too. A reboot of your VoIP device often fixes this issue.
How does 911 and VoIP work?
With VoIP, when you dial 911 MossyTel uses a system called e911, which sends your address to the 911 operators along with your phone number. Since this is something that we have to setup on our end, it is very important that you keep us up-to-date with your current address.
